A stunning and elusive piece of American Mid-Century glass. This L.E. Smith Lilac slag glass vase features dreamy swirls of lavender, soft pink and creamy opalescence, finished with an elegant hand-formed ruffled rim. The coveted Lilac color is associated with a very limited production around 1961, making it especially desirable among Smith collectors.
Condition: Impeccable vintage condition with no cracks or major flaws. There are a few extremely minor surface scratches on the backside, barely visible and highlighted in the final photos for transparency. The underside of the base also shows an original shear mark along with some minor surface scratching consistent with age and handling.
A beautifully preserved example of one of L.E. Smith’s most enchanting colors. 💜
