Overview

Up for sale is an exceptionally rare, authentic set ofthree (3) Italian-made Weber 42 DCOE-8 side-draft carburetors, manufactured in Bologna, Italy.

Originally developed as factory equipment for theMaserati 3500 GT, these authentic Italian-cast \"big body\" side-drafts represent the high-water mark of vintage European performance induction. Today, matched triple sets in this condition are increasingly difficult to find. These are in good condition (see pictures) but will need a complete rebuild, cleaning, and new gaskets before they are used. Only the items pictures are included. Ask any questions. I will do my best to answer them.

Factory Production & Batch Matching

All three carburetors feature authentic original Bologna castings stamped42 DCOE 8. Crucially, they carry adjacent factory production batch stamps:

• Two (2) Stamped \"3K\"

• One (1) Stamped \"3G\"

Having closely matching batch codes confirms these carburetors were produced together in the same original manufacturing run. For high-end Maserati restorations or vintage race engine builds, matched factory castings ensure identical wall thickness, passage machining, and tuning synchronization. The air horns have scuff marks and a slight upwards angle. They are a tad longer than the ones I normally see with the DCOE carbs, but look correct for the 3500GT. See pictures for details.

Choke / Main Venturi Package Included

This sale includes a highly desirable dual-choke package featuring both standard and rare period-racing hardware:

1. Standard 32mm Main Venturis (Chokes):The original factory size specification for the Maserati 3500 GT setup.

2. Alternate 30mm Venturis (6 total):A second set of 30mm aluminum chokes .

Condition Details

• Air Horns: Complete set of six air horns. Chrome is worn through and there are scuff marks. Airhorns have a slight upwards angle.
  

Note: I took out all the internal components to check on the installed specifications.
