Item: Investment-grade pre-WWII Petroliana advertising memorabilia.Branding: Features crisp typography for Standard Oil Co. (Indiana) out of Chicago (910 S. Michigan Ave.) promoting "ASPHALTS For Every Purpose — ROAD OILS — FUEL OILS."
Design: Features an Art Deco tiered chrome base, an ingenious 5-year date-calculating wheel face, and the original center Patent No. 1,692,755 (granted in 1928).
Condition (Near-Mint/Pristine): Exceptional survivor. The cream-colored composite face shows no yellowing or warping. The black text remains razor-sharp. The chrome/nickel plating on the stand and back plate is entirely free of rust, flaking, or heavy pitting. Mechanism turns smoothly and aligns perfectly.
