This monumental work is titled Veduta del Tempio di Antonino, e Faustina (View of the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina) and originates from his highly celebrated masterpiece series, Le Antichità Romane (The Roman Antiquities), published in Rome.

The print captures a dramatic neoclassical view of the iconic deep-set columns of the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina in the Roman Forum, featuring background index references to the Campidoglio (Capitoline Hill), the Arco di Settimio (Arch of Septimius Severus), and the Tempio di Remo.
