Rare Black Americana Tobacciana 1850’s South Carolina Plantation Owners Pipe:
$575.00
Up for your consideration is a very rare pipe that belonged to a South Carolina Plantation owner in the 1850’s. This was picked up by my Grandfather somewhere in his many travels. He was a British Military Officer during World War II and later a Diplomat. This has been displayed in my office for many years. According to his journal entry this belonged to the owner of the Drayton Hall. This is a famous South Carolina Plantation. It was one of the only plantations not to be burned during the war. This rare black Americana tobacciana pipe from the 1850s in South Carolina is a unique collector's item. Handmade by the renowned brand Boswell, this billiard-shaped pipe showcases the craftsmanship of that era. With its rich history and origins in the United States, this piece offers a glimpse into the past and is sure to be a prized addition to any estate pipe collection.
