This stunning tea set was madein England based on the etched markings of\"EPC\"(Electroplated Silver on Copper a technique developed and usedin Sheffield England in the 1800\'s), plus all pieces are marked with a Crownwith the letter \"R\" which according to the Sheffield Silver DateMarks Chart (see photos) indicates these pieces may have been made in 1813, and the letters RAND represents the Distributer.
RARE COLLECTIBLE these earlysilver plate works of art often command as high or sometimes higher prices thantheir sterling counterparts for the simple reason that…collectors recognize thesignificance and beauty of the intricate patterns in early Sheffield Platepieces.
