I have been painting and creating all of my life and was trained attending Virginia Commonwealth University (B.F.A.) and Radford University (M.F.A.).
My paintings are handmade, original, one of a kind and an investment with collectible quality. I hope my work can bring a breath of color to your home and become part of your personal curated collection.
What is the painting about?
I love people, animals and places that reflect wider stories, needed environmental companions and priceless, fragile spaces. As I work, I look for structure and hope to cooperate with the painting and transfigure the structure for interest and liveliness. I am inspired by philosophy and the forces that influence the act of painting. I try to uncover movement and to allow color to guide the work to a point of momentary albeit fleeting harmony.
I am fascinated by unexpected combinations and contrasting elements that perhaps call attention to all of our chance but shared travels through life. Should it appear, I want to honor the unconscious. It may link us all together in a collective drama or dream.
“I dream my paintings, and then they paint my dream.” ~Vincent Van Gogh
