ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 GA402RJ – Ryzen 9 6900HS / RX 6700S / 24 GB RAM / 1 TB SSDThe laptop powers on, boots Windows, and is currently usable, but I am selling it with known intermittent stability issues.It previously began experiencing random crashes, including BSODs and occasional sudden restarts. BSOD codes seen have included IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE, and performed:Removed and tested without the removable 16 GB RAM stick; crashes still occurred, so the removable RAM does not appear to be the sole cause.
Cleaned and reinstalled AMD/ASUS graphics-related drivers.
Reinstalled ASUS System Control Interface for G-Helper.
Reseated the SSD.
Disabled CPU boost, which substantially lowers temperatures and the system has behaved better/stayed stable during recent use.
SSD SMART health reports 100% remaining life with no failure/warning flags.
Important hardware history: during an SSD/Wi-Fi upgrade several years ago, a screw briefly contacted the motherboard and caused a spark. The laptop continued working normally for years afterward, but I cannot rule out latent motherboard damage.The original M.2 SSD mounting screw/standoff is damaged from a previous stripped-screw removal. The installed SSD is currently secured in place with Kapton tape instead of the original screw.The rubber screen bezel is a little torn around the edges, but doesn't affect laptop functionality. There are also two screws missing on the bottom panel but doesn't affect functionality of the device.
