This is an exceptionally rare, cross-border piece of post-war O-Scale modelrailroading history: The Kusan Southern Railway \"The Southern Serves The South\"Tank Car, featuring the ultra-scarce early \"Red Stamped\" road name variationcomplete with the original Plasticos Leon S.A. Monterrey, Mexico box.In the early 1960s, Kusan\'s toy train tooling was outsourced to Plasticos Leon inMonterrey, Mexico for limited domestic holiday distribution. This specific piece pairs thehighly desirable, early productrion U.S. \"Red Stamped\" Southern Railway tank shellwith the incredibly hard-to-find Mexican market export box.The white plastic shell is remarkable straight and free of bowing or warpingthat commonly plagues Kusan production.The early-production \"SR\" and \"The Southern Serves The South\" red stampedlettering is exceptionally crisp and unfaded.Both ladders and steps are intact and unbroken.Both #2 couplers and present and intact. Show minor grime/dust from storageand have been left uncleaned to preserve antique state.Complete and original Plasticos Leon S.A. (Apartado 1411, Monterrey N.L. Mexico Box.It shows typical age-related wear.
