A rare find for serious Beanie Baby collectors! This is Britannia the Bear, part of the exclusive 4-bear Ronald McDonald House Charities international set (alongside Erin, Maple, and Glory), originally released in 1997–1999. Britannia wears a red ribbon with the Union Jack flag in tribute to the UK.
CONFIRMED TAG ERROR: The tush tag on this bear reads \"©1993 TY INC., OAKBROOK, IL\" – despite Britannia\'s actual date of birth being December 15, 1997 per the front card. This well-documented date discrepancy is a known and sought-after Beanie Baby error, and bears carrying it have commanded significantly higher prices than standard sealed examples.
Full disclosure on condition: This bear remains sealed in its original blister packaging. A small opening was made in the packaging specifically to view and confirm the tush tag error shown in the photos – the bear itself has not been removed or handled beyond what was necessary to verify this.
