Offered here is an extremely difficult-to-find Micro Giken Industry Co., Ltd. TX-1 miniature FM transmitter/wireless microphone, manufactured in Japan.
This example is unusually complete and includes the TX-1 transmitter with wire antenna, original fitted presentation case, original outer box, original Japanese instruction sheet, original English instruction sheet, and a vintage Japanese-market Duracell MR9/H-D/PX625 1.35V mercury battery in its original packaging.
According to the original documentation, the TX-1 features an electret condenser microphone and transmits via FM over an adjustable 76–90 MHz frequency range. The unit measures approximately 31 × 23 × 10 mm and weighs only 17 grams.
