RARE Heisey Frog-Handle Cheese Plate MARIGOLD Vintage Glass c1929-1930 HTF READ For Sale

1920’s HEISEY Glass MARIGOLD Colored Frog-Handled Cheese Plate No. 1210. EXTREMELY SCARCE MARIGOLD COLOR was PRODUCED FOR ONLY ONE YEAR (1929-1930) then retired and later replaced by Sahara yellow. According to the Heisey Museum website “Marigold is a brassy, deep yellow color with a green tint at the edges, described in Heisey’s advertisements as “sparkling with golden sheen.” This art deco dish, with its unusual heart-shaped design and charming frog handle, is a perfect collector piece. The hallmark “H inside diamond” is absent, as early releases did not carry this mark, but plate is undeniably Heisey. A few condition issues to note… Occasional air bubbles, seams, light scratches and minor manufacturing flaws are typical of antique glass production and are not considered adverse. Seller tried to capture these as best as possible using natural light photos as a backdrop. Some “sugaring” around raised edge, typical of Heisey marigold glass. Difficult to see in photos yet undeniable. Nonetheless, this is a rare and unusual piece of early American art deco glass.
