Offered here is a RARE early 20th Century (pre-WWI) Schouboe pistol 6 round blued magazine. It was originally designed in 1903 as a pocket pistol in .32 ACP. In 1907 an 11.35mm Schouboe cartridge version was made for the US pistol trials for the military. It was a blowback pistol so it could not handle the energy of the .45 so a new cartridge was made with a mixture of a wood core and metal jacket. Unfortunately, the pistol was rejected by the U.S military due to the insufficient power. These are rare guns, approximately 400-500 were made with some estimates up to 1,000. Don\'t miss out on this magazine!
Overall, this magazine is in Good - Very Good condition, considering its age and history. It has light oxidation, scrapes and scratches with finish loss along some of the leading edges. Both the front and rear feed lips appear to be straight and seem functional. They may need to be fine tuned to your particular gun. The follower has light oxidation and scrapes. It moves smoothly inside its body frame, but it may benefit from a light cleaning and oiling. The spring has moderately stiff - stiff spring tension. The base plate is securely pinned to the body with two rivets. Most of the finish still remains and has turned a darker patina color.
