A very unusual Merrythought collector bear from Ironbridge, Shropshire, England.

This is a 21-inch jointed mohair “Yes/No” teddy bear, individually numbered No. 1 of only 25 produced, with Oliver Holmes attribution/signature.

I contacted Merrythought Ltd. directly and provided photographs of this exact bear. They confirmed that they produced Yes/No bears from the late 1990s through the 2000s and stated that, because this particular bear was produced in such a small edition of only 25, they believe it would have been specially made for one of Merrythought’s Open Days. They were thrilled to see this come in for question as it is remarkable. Merrythought no longer has surviving records for this individual bear, other than what was shared, but archive said they would get back to me if anything else was found. I will send this documentation with this beautiful baby to the seller.

This is a particularly scarce Merrythought edition, with only 25 pieces produced and this example being #1.
