RARE 1991-92 Reality “Ya Need To Face Reality” Promo Press Kit:
$499.99

Super rare original 1991–1992 promotional press kit / promo pack for Milwaukee rapper Reality (Reality Laster) and his debut EP Ya Need To Face Reality (also styled Ya Need 2 Face Reality) on Revolutionary Records / Reality Productions.

This is a genuine piece of early-’90s Midwest independent hip-hop history. Reality was born in Rockford, IL, raised in Milwaukee, and launched his own production company and label while still young. The kit promotes his first project and the “Working Hard to Free the Masses” slogan that appears throughout.

What’s included (as shown in photos):

• Original tan folder with the classic black fist-holding-microphone/gun “REALITY” logo and “WORKING HARD TO FREE THE MASSES” text on all sides

• 8×10 black-and-white promo photo of Reality

• Two-sided bio / press release sheets

• Gold metallic business card: “REALITY – PRESIDENT, Revolutionary Records” with the Milwaukee address and phone/fax numbers

• Original red flyer for “Da’ Revolutionary New Artist Showcase Saga I” at the Pabst Theater, Milwaukee, September 5, 1992 (featuring Reality + other local acts)

• Flyer/handbill for the April 11, 1992 MC Breed & the D.F.C. show at Club Sensations where Reality opened (“Just Kickin’ It Tour ’92”)

• Completed “Product Review” form (May 13, 1992) giving the EP an A+ and calling Reality a future household name

• Completed “Performance Critique” form from the same date (very positive response from the promoter)

• Original local newspaper clipping: “Young rapper offers Reality check” by Robert Tanzilo featuring Reality and the EP

Everything is original period material from 1991–1992. No modern reprints. Condition is solid overall for 30+ year-old paper items — light handling/age wear consistent with a working promo kit, but nothing major. The gold business card and red flyer are especially sharp.

This is the kind of regional underground hip-hop memorabilia that almost never surfaces complete. Perfect for serious collectors of 1990s independent rap, Milwaukee music history, or early Midwest hip-hop.
