Offered here is an extremely interesting late-1970s Micro Switch 58SD5-1 electronic keyboard, catalog/list number 601-0100400.
This is a true vintage Micro Switch SD-series Hall-effect keyboard from the early microcomputer and computer-terminal era. The board carries serial number 01620 and a 7923 date code, consistent with 1979 production.
The keyboard features classic ASCII/control-function legends including:
ESC, ETB, ENQ, EOT, ACK, BEL, CAN, ETX, SYN, STX, SO, NUL, GS, RS, HT, VT, FF, CR, BREAK and others.
This is not a modern reproduction or generic replacement keyboard. It is a genuine period Micro Switch assembly using the highly regarded non-contact Hall-effect key-switch technology associated with professional computer terminals, industrial systems, and early computing equipment.

- Keys generally present very well for their age.
- PCB appears substantially intact.
- Card-edge connector is present.
- BREAK key assembly is present.
- No attempt has been made to clean, repair, restore, modify, or power the unit.
Please examine all photographs carefully. The photos are part of the description and show the actual item being sold.
IMPORTANT
This keyboard is approximately 47 years old and is being offered specifically as a vintage collectible/restoration component.
Because its operating condition is unknown, it is being sold AS-IS / UNTESTED, with no guarantee of functionality.
This would be an excellent candidate for:
- Vintage computer restoration
- Period terminal restoration
- Micro Switch/Honeywell keyboard collection
- Hall-effect keyboard collection
- Early ASCII terminal project
- Computer history display
- Spare parts or restoration
The unusual key legends and period-correct architecture make this a particularly interesting example of late-1970s computer input hardware.
