RARE 1930s 40s Howard Willard Drawing Illustration chinatown chinese WOW No.1 For Sale

We have recently acquired three incredible original pieces of artwork by legendary illustrator Howard Willard. Each piece features sketches (likely unseen) on asian workers. Willard was prolific, but his Chinese illustrations are his calling card. Since some of these are on very delicate paper they will need to be professionally framed and archived. Or, perhaps they could be cut and parted out, although one of them is double sided. Just a stunning rare collection of hand drawn illustrations by an iconic artist. Please look carefully and email with questions. Howard W. Willard was born in Danville, IL on Sept. 8, 1894. Willard moved to California as a child. His contact there with Mexican and Oriental cultures later provided much of the subject matter of his artworks. Following his studies in NYC at the ASL, he worked in Los Angeles as a commercial artist from 1919. During WWII he served as art director of the Department of Psychological Warfare. Following the war, he settled in NYC as an illustrator for Reader\'s Digest.
