RARE 1907 Figural Leather Postcard Shaped as Fringed Cowboy Chaps with the top opening into a Coin Purse-the Postcard was Posted and has cancelled stamps. Postcard labelled Teddy\'s Pants. Very hard to find. Handmade leather postcards were made from Deer Leather at the beginning of the 1900s for a brief period. This item was probably 2 pieces of postcards put together and handmade into a coin purse with 2 legs. Coin purse is intact, no holes. The framework clasp has age related excoriation, I did not attempt to clean it before picture taking. The brass coating has probably worn off. The slogan \"Teddy\'s Pants\" and \"If you want to be my Honey-Keep these pockets full of Money\" were written in large script with a Fountain pen. Has the recipient\'s address in Dixon, Missouri. Mailed on July 11, 1907. Two cancelled green Benjamin Franklin stamps attached. Looks hand cut and machine stitched. Expected age wear. But still in good strong, legible condition.
