THE PLATES is 9.4in X 9.4in and IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS,CRACKS OR CRAZING AND VERY MINIMAL WEAR CONSIDERING ITS OVER 86 YEARS OLD…..AT THE TIME OF POSTING I HAVE (6) DINNER PLATES AVAILABLE AND WILL BE POSTING SALAD PLATES, A PLATTER, BOWLS, TEAPOT, GRAVY BOAT AND MORE
THE OTHER RARE PART IS THE MARKING( see pic) ITS MARKED HAWAII DESIGNED BY DON BLANDING MADE FOR TROJAN VERNON KILNS MADE IN THE USA……
SOME BACK STORY FOR THOSE INTERESTED AS I WAS:
From what I’ve gathered from the lady who I purchased it all from was her Father and his company Commissioned Vernon Kilns to make Full Sets for the Trojan Battery Co and they gave them out to select Employees
Whats Neat and a First for me is that the Owner who Commissioned it picked out the Melinda Shaped blanks for the Lei Lani to be made on which is Normally made on the Ultra blanks 99% of the time
And whats Also Different is that INSTEAD of Vernon Kilns putting the Don Blanding Lei Lani Back Stamp Marks they put “HAWAII”

It really threw me off because I Know the Hawaiian Flowers pattern is Basically the Lei Lani pattern without the additional added Color Hand Painted add ons
BUT i’ve Never seen the Lei Lani pattern just named “Hawaii” but am assuming since it was a custom order that’s why the differences
Anyway Weve Always Loved Collecting Vernon Kilns and Living in Los Angeles has made finding nice pieces easier in a sense to come across
All the Plates, Platters, etc All have the Melinda Swirled Wave or Braided rope Edge pattern which is also a first
