This is a string-bound portfolio of photographs ofPortland Oregon and the Columbia River from around 1895. The photographshave a beautiful sepia tone and lots of detail.
There are 24 pages plus the pictorial cover, with 30 photographs.Most of the photographs are full page. Each print is mounted onto thick textured gray paper by all four corners. The page measures11x9 inches (28 x23 cm). The full-page photos measure approximately 7.5 x5.5 inches (19 x 13 cm). The cover is frayed and torn , but the interior pages are in very good condition.
Produced by the Albertype Company as a set of mechanical photogravure prints. It is undated, but the height of the Albertype company were the mid to late 1890s. The photos are all pre-automobile.
