This heavy, industrial-grade glass tank was manufactured by The Cleveland Metal Products Co. (which later became the Perfection Stove Company in 1925).Historically, these 1-gallon glass jars were filled with kerosene, inverted, and slotted into the side brackets of vintage cabin space heaters and kitchen cookstoves to automatically gravity-feed the burners.
