Parting out this Dual 1229Q that I bought as a project. I failed to get the auto functions working 100% after countless hours. I need my sanity back :-)
I have several sales this week with 1229Q parts. Check them out. There should be listings with an original dearing ring, refurbished motor, speed selector, cue lift, strobe mechanism, steurepimple\'s, original Dual record adapters for 45\'s etc.

These are the remaining parts from my failed 1229Q turntable project. There are too many part numbers for me to list. I\'ll instead give conditions of a few of the items. Some of these show extensive tool marks from assembling and disassembling this table multiple times. I decided to part this out because I could never get the pawl, the square nut, the main lever and switch lever to work in sync with the cue lift and tonearm horizontal movement. After two months of work I decided to cut my losses.
1. One of the piston lift mechanisms (203 - 220934) is ready to go. It has been lubed with 500k silicone and works great. There are two knurled knobs included, but their threads have been stripped. I worked for countless hours trying to set this thing up. There is a 2nd incomplete piston mechanism that must have came from a 1219. It only has one slot for the tiny c clip.
2. The main switch arm (188 - 218308) took the worst abuse! I adjusted the screw so many times that it wore out the screw head. I put in another screw from somewhere else on the table.
3. The start/stop mechanism is complete with springs and knobs (50 -225197). One of the knobs has a deep gouge and is missing the silver paint.
4. The protecting plate (233 - 225924) has a modified screw. The original is included but the guide piece (232 - 218485) is cracked. It\'s repairable if you decide.
5. The muting switch 1(51 - 218242) is 100% complete and working and includes the screws and the ground post.
6. There are two pawls (273 - 273274). One is complete with the square nut (274 - 219049) and the washer (275 - 219083). Both pawls are in good condition. One of them has been straightened at some point. The other is in excellent condition.
7. The main lever (184 - 220933) has been bent on the adjustable end as a last resort. The pin that rides on the cam swivels and it\'s not supposed to. It still worked fine (see video of the table working). It has long lost its factory sandblasting. Condition of this is \'fair\'. It\'s still useable, but not perfect by any means.
8. The bridge (171 - 219096) has been repaired using the red thread locker and swage method. You can see the marks where I used a punch to hold the spindle in place. It spins and works perfectly, but no guarantee it will last forever. The spindle is lined up correctly allowing the multi changer spindle to work as it should. Parts 177, 178, 179 and 180 (all inside the spindle) work perfectly.
9. The cam is 100% lubed with the correct products (100k silicone) for the friction plate and an Alvania alternative (Shell Gadus S2 v220). The cam is ready to install and comes complete with the tiny u-shaped spring that is easily lost.
10. The spindle ball bearing (169 - 200554) has been packed with a combo of Supco turbine oil and Gadus on the bearing disc. It will spin for at least a minute after being shut off from 78 speed. There is one missing ear/tab that bends over the can and holds the top washer down. Other two are intact.
11. A couple of the springs have been trimmed down to get more recoil as a last resort. Everything worked good before taking apart. See video.
