Portrait of a prayerful young woman. Hand painted on porcelain by Edith S Foster. Edith was an award-winning artist. We bought many pieces from her in the 1980s, both decorated items and portraiture.
I had expected that this might be a copy of a classic painting, but I have not been able to find any such inspiration. It is a wonderful, haunting, emotive piece.
Frame is 15x12\" image 10x8\" Professionally framed and matted.
