This beautiful vintage original Impressionist-style oil painting features two elegantly dressed ladies strolling through a lush, flowering landscape.
The painting is filled with soft pastel tones, pale pinks, blues and creams, delicate foliage, and richly textured impasto brushwork that gives the landscape wonderful dimension! The dreamy composition and Victorian-inspired figures create the feeling of a treasured 19th-century European country scene.
The painting is hand-signed “Marie Charlot” in the lower right and remains on its original stretched canvas. The reverse bears an “ARTISTIC IMPRESSIONS INC. — OIL CERTIFIED” seal bearing the number 62152 dating it to the mid-to-late 20th century.
Adding even more presence is the substantial ornate gold gilt wood frame, featuring elaborate scrolling and floral ornamentation. The frame gives this piece a particularly luxurious quality! No matter where you choose to display it, this lovely painting is ready to become an immediate focal point in a traditional European Manor, romantic Cottage, colorful Maximalist, or a pastel Victorian inspired interior.
