Wonderful oil, painting of the maple sugaring process in Vermont, New England scene. This one was done in December of 1979, by listed artist Stephen J Belaski, a Vermont native. Famous for his government sponsored giant murals at the Rutland post office in Vermont in 1937. So much wonderful information can be found about this listed artist online, where you can view his other works, and his massive murals, some of his murals in upstate New York are being currently restored for public display once again!This one measures 16”x11.5” unframed, & unsigned, except for some of the artist’s descriptions on the front and back, relating to the format and paints used, and date. Many of paintings done by Belaski are unsigned, as he was known for signing only a small percentage of his works.
