Offered here is an authentic vintage Les Leston steering wheel for Porsche 356B and 356C models, presented in remarkable original condition. The wheel is unused, unrestored, and has never been installed, and it remains with its original box.The history of the wheel, as it was relayed to us, is particularly interesting. We acquired it approximately two years ago from a longtime Porsche enthusiast in Bend, Oregon, who is involved with the Pacific Northwest Region of the Porsche Club of America. He told us that the wheel had been in his possession for more than 15 years.According to the previous owner, he acquired the wheel from the collection of a longtime Porsche enthusiast in Los Angeles who was also a Los Angeles County judge. Following the collector’s passing, his wife sold a number of items from his Porsche collection, including this Les Leston wheel.We purchased the wheel with the intention of installing it on one of our own Porsche projects. That car was ultimately sold, and we specifically elected to retain the Les Leston rather than include it with the car. With that project now gone, we have decided to offer the wheel for sale.What makes this example especially appealing is its originality. Many surviving Les Leston wheels have been installed, refinished, or restored over the decades.
