Robert Graham Carter(American, b. 1938) is a visual artist best known for his mixed-media worksincluding commanding drawings; sculptural, high-relief paintings; and whimsicalworks on wood. Carter’s figurative compositions routinely speak to systemic societalissues with a specificity derived from his lived experiences. Created over thelast sixty years drawing influence from his upbringing in the Jim Crow South,Robert’s figurative compositions balance personal and universal truths, with afocus on topics pertinent to the African-American condition: the joy andimportance of family, the legacy of segregation, the charm of childhood, thespiritual and corporal force that is the Black church, and the impression ofBlackface on American culture. This 1960 presentation explores his studiopractice and his unique painterly voice as it traces overarching impactfulthemes from his lifelong career.

CONDITION: Some fading but still look great! I'm not sure if this is an original print. My Parents owned this since 1950/1960s. As you can see from this picture is not bad looking but my Parent did put it in garage for unknown reason or what year they put it in there and until I found it 6 months ago after my Parents passed away.
