Very rare and unique original press photo from 1938 showing the start of the Laurel Handicap in which Seabiscuit (pictured to the outside) ran second in his final prep before his famous match race at Pimlico against War Admiral. This is also interesting as it appears someone is on the track in front of the horse from the #3 post. I guess that is the starter (there were no assistant starters back then) but he also appears to be directly in the path of a horse, so I\'m not sure. This measures 7\"x9\" and has some light wear as to be expected from a photo that is approaching 100 years old.
