Made from genuine calf leather, the jacket has developed a beautiful natural patina over nearly a century, with the surface creasing, tonal variation and light wear that give true vintage leather its character. The original H.H. Brent label remains present, along with the period-style hardware and traditional zip-front construction.
This is a wonderful example of an early American leather sports jacket, with a silhouette closely associated with 1930s Cossack and motorcycle-inspired styles. Pieces from this era are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially when they retain their original lining, label and overall period appearance.
The jacket is in very good vintage condition for its age. There are expected signs of wear throughout, including light scuffs, creasing, softened areas of leather and natural variation in the finish. These age-related characteristics are part of the jacket’s authenticity and appeal.
A standout piece for collectors of 1930s menswear, pre-war American workwear, vintage motorcycle clothing and early leather jackets.
Original 1930s vintage — not a reproduction.
