This is an original unrestored Carter WCFB 4 barrel carburetor. The part number on the original tag is 2626S as shown. The 2626S carburetor lists as being used on 1957-1961 Corvette dual quad applications as the front carburetor with no choke. I believe this particular carb is original to a 1957 model. This carburetor just came out of the life long collection of a very highly respected Corvette expert and NCRS judge. It looks to be totally original as shown. It looks to be mostly complete less some small parts like the accelerator pump rod, secondard air weight and flaps, and likely some other pieces. The tag reads 2626S K 6 4 as shown. The top plate is cast 6-1203 and is stamped 1161. The main body is cast 0-049 and has the fuel sight plugs in the main body which I believe identifies it as an early model. I removed the base to reveal the casting number 1-1387 B as shown. The base has since been reinstalled. This carb just came out of decades of storage and will need to be rebuilt/restored before use. These real deal original dual quad carbs have always been rare and are nearly impossible to find today. Don\'t miss this real deal original carb.
