A perfect balance of performance and features
A first-time glance at the value-priced Nikon Z 50II might not give away its feature-packed nature all at once. After all, with its chunky, balanced, and secure grip, it's reminiscent of Nikon's classic SLRs in its ergonomics and feel. But after a quick test-drive, you'll see that this camera is way more than it appears to be on the surface.
New capabilities borrowed from the flagships
The Z 50II is way more versatile than its predecessor for both still photography and video. It all begins with the same processor inherited from the flagship Nikon Z 9 and Z 8 cameras, which unlocks new resolutions and frame rates, subject-specific 3D autofocus tracking for nine types of subjects, and new "imaging recipes" from some the world's most lauded photographers and videographers.
Two zoom lenses cover the range from wide to telephoto
Two Nikon NIKKOR DX lenses are included with this kit: a 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR lightweight, go-anywhere zoom that takes you from wide-angle shots to the "normal" range that mimics the eye's field-of-view, and a 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 telephoto zoom that suits the bill for shooting outdoor sports, wildlife, and travel photography.
This camera is also compatible with the extensive Nikon NIKKOR Z family of lenses, offering lots of options for those transitioning from their smartphones to the richer world of high-end photography and video.
