Installation Steps:
YOU MUST REMOVE the connector from the frame clip to unplug the two large connectors. It has a safety lock.
1. Locate left handlebar UP/Down switch connector it’s a large green 10 wire connector plug located under front fender at front of frame rail between the two upper shock mounts.
2. Its a Big Green Connector YOU MUST REMOVE the connector from the frame clip to unplug the two large connectors.
3. Connect the 2 shift kit large grey matching plugs inline with it. YOU MUST REMOVE the connector from the frame clip to unplug it ! They can be very difficult to unplug clean all dirt away from retainer clip and sealing edges always pull on the plug not the wires.
4. Connect the plugs inline with the GREEN connector.
5. Plug in your shift motor plug to the matching round 2 wire connector on the shift kit connector is located on the lower right frame rail and it does not have to be removed from frame to unplug it.
6. Mount relays on upper right hand framerail. Next connect the round 2 wire plug on the kit to your shift motor matching connector on right side frame rail near fan motor.
7. Route the harness on the upper right frame rail securing any loose or extra wiring. Route under air box tab mount to prevent pinching wires putting on the seat. Then connect negative black and positive red leads to your battery. Secure all wiring and relays to the frame or main wire harness keeping it away from hot or moving parts.
