I am listing, for sale, an EXCEPTIONAL Antique, Handmade, Catskill Mts., Adirondack, "WEIRD WOOD" Folk Art Tankard. This unique Tankard is carved from one singke piece of cedar or pine. It Has a carved branch Handle. These Adirondack Tankards (known by collectors as "WEIRD WOOD" TANKARDS) were popular Souveniers from the Catskill Mts, during the 1930s. It has an applied portrait of a Native American man. He is Exceptional, because of his unusual dress. American Indians were a very popular topic. The Tankard measures approximately 7 1/2" high. Appropriately 5" wide. Very good condition, with a beautiful old mellow patina. Outstanding wood color and texture. Please review the photographs for the condition. A must for the collector of Native American related, and Catskill Mts Folk Art.
