This original watercolor painting by Nancy B. Roberts is titled \"Mike\'s View of Helena\". And, on the back there is a handwritten note by Nancy describing the location of this painting (see close-up photo). The painting has been matted, packaged with stiff cardboard and shrink-wrapped. It looks like it\'s never been opened - the mat and painting are in great condition. The painting is signed in the lower right and dated 1988.

Bio: \"Nancy Roberts became serious about painting at the age of 46, on an extended sojourn aboard a small sailboat. Her boat carried her through the Mediterranean and Europe\'s inland waterways where she sketched and fell in love with the landscape. When she tired of life on the water, she settled in northwest France where she has lived for over a decade.
Here, Nancy began painting watercolors of neighboring stone houses and gardens, rolling fields of sunflowers and poppies, and beautiful orchards and chateaux. As her surroundings provided her with wonderful subject matter to paint, she found that her paintings were becoming increasingly popular with the local inhabitants as well as with a few wandering tourists. She now shows her artwork throughout Europe and in the U.S. Nancy\'s daughter Mary Lincoln publishes and sells Nancy\'s limited edition prints.
Nancy says a breakthrough for her was realizing that paintings \"don\'t need to be all done in one go.\" She takes a lot of time on a painting, much of it just looking and planning the image in her head. For her compositions, Nancy chooses to rely on sensations and emotions rather than claim bold statements. Her surroundings inspire works that make a statement of pure beauty.
