Preserved in Mint, New Old Stock, and Never Inked condition, this remarkable example represents a particularly desirable and difficult-to-find version of the Parker 61, especially in such outstanding original condition.

The Parker 61 Consort was introduced in the United Kingdom in 1967 and featured a distinctive 1/5 12-carat rolled gold cap in the intricate brick or grid pattern. This cap contained twice the gold used on the Parker Insignia of the period and replaced the earlier Heirloom models with their rainbow-patterned caps. By 1969, Parker had discontinued the original capillary-filling system in favor of the Mark III cartridge/converter system, making this later Consort both historically interesting and more convenient for everyday use. The Consort remained in production until approximately 1972.
