This collector-grade piece combines the highly desirable "Bulbous Base, Square Top" form with a stunning, molded Diamond Quilted optic pattern running throughout the body.
Design & Color Chemistry:
Crafted using Frederick Shirley’s patented 1885 formula blending gold and uranium oxide, the glass transitions flawlessly from a plush salmon-pink rim down to a creamy pastel-yellow base. Under a UV blacklight, the uranium content yields a spectacular, bright neon green glow that beautifully highlights the geometric lines of the diamond quilted mold work.
Artistic Detail:
The front of the piece is hand-painted with an intricate, raised enamel autumn daisy motif in shades of rust-amber and gold, completed by soft olive-green stems and foliage. The underside shows a perfectly executed, smooth, and highly polished concave pontil mark, confirming its hand-blown antique origin.
