Bound in lovely light pink paper covered boards, with equally lovely blue textured endpapers. Just some sunning/fading to the spine of the slipcase and there is a knock to the top of it, but still in very good condition.
The book has been very well protected by its case, there\'s just the \'half moon\' shapes of fading to the boards shadowing that section in the slipcase, otherwise lovely bright and pink. Corners and edges very good. Joints and hinges are fine. Binding is really tight. No inscriptions. Some foxing scattered throughout the book, but generally very good and much of the text is clean. All edges gilt. All tissue guards still in place.
This is the third book from this publisher in slipcases that I\'ve sold that came to me from one collection. The first two were smaller in size (macro miniatures). They were in the same style in similar slips and dated from the 1820\'s. Research on this title shows other copies, but I cannot see one with these pink boards or one with it\'s original slipcase.
