Feature:
Mid-Rear Frame
The Mid-Rear Frame begins at the rear fuel tank cross member and is 26.25″ long, and ends just after the spare tire cross members forward mount to the frame. You will need to remove the bump stop mount from your frame before your able to install this frame kit.
Mid Frame Section
The Mid Frame Section was designed to fit the 2nd Gen Tacoma Mid-rear frame section where the forward end of the rear leaf spring mounts to the frame. This part begins right at the rear cab mount and ends 12″ after the rear bed mount
Installation:
Mid-Rear Frame Section
We’ve designed our Mid-Rear Frame to cap the frame over the rear axle after removing the bump stop and any rust or corrosion. The Mid-Rear Frame caps over the original frame from the outside and is notched to fit right around the driver side upper shock mount, just clamp the frame kit so it fits tightly to the frame, then weld it on.
Mid Frame Section
The leaf spring mount will need to be removed from the frame by cutting the rivet heads off and drilling them out. Once removed the frame repair section can be installed and your leaf spring mount can be re-attached either with nut and bolts or by welding it back on. The Mid Frame Section has 3 cut lines in the area of the rear bed mount, giving you the option to notch the frame kit around the rear bed mount if the metal behind it is good.
Note:
This part does not come with the rear spring mount.Comes with a separate plate for the top of your frame, and also has holes cut where the rivets hold on the original spring mount so you can re-mount the spring mount.
Designed to cap over the original frame and weld onto the upper, and lower inner edge, plus forward and rear seems.
