Original December 10, 1984 issue of Sports Illustrated featuring rookie Michael Jordan on the cover with the headline “A Star Is Born.” This is Jordan’s first Sports Illustrated cover appearance as an NBA player and one of the best-known early Michael Jordan magazine issues.
Complete subscription copy with original mailing label still attached to the front cover. Interior includes the Michael Jordan rookie-season feature “The Driver’s Seat” by Alexander Wolff, along with the original period advertisements and other contents.
Condition is as pictured. There is visible handling and edge/corner wear, including creasing and small tears along the lower cover edge, corner wear, surface wear and the original mailing label on the front.
