Mayumi Itsuwa is one of Japan's most respected female recording artists, known internationally for her hit duet "Amayadori" and especially for the classic "Koibito yo" ("My Lover"), one of the most beloved Japanese ballads of all time. Her music blends folk, pop, and adult contemporary influences and has remained popular throughout Asia for decades.
