This piece showcases quintessential Highland Maya ceramic craftsmanship, featuring a stylized anthropomorphic face detailed with heavy, slit-formed eyes, a prominent nose, a crested head, and classic oversized circular ear spools (earflares). Hand-fashioned from a warm terracotta clay, the hollow interior still contains its original ancient clay pellets and retains a clear, functional rattle sound when gently shaken. The surface displays fine molded details along with authentic subterranean encrustation and patina.
