Harper\'s History of the Great Rebellionwere two profusely illustrated folio volumes constitute the classic pictorial history of the Civil War, taken from the pages of Harper\'s Weekly, with the text written as the war unfolded. Almost 1,000 engravings depict the war as Americans were experiencing it, and reveal the life of soldiers in many settings. There are camp scenes, marches through pouring rain and mud, officer portraits as well as battle scenes.Very nice early record of the historic Civil War period.
