Mackie Digital X Bus (dXb 200) Console- Fully Functional - Just Serviced For Sale

96k/192k Hihg-Definition console was widely regarded as Mackie’sflagship console, the Digital X Bus was far ahead of its time. Its ability tovirtualize and route audio I/O in software still stands out even among modernsystems.

This console operated in aprofessional 72x72 Channel I/O Matrix, track Pro Tools environment, interfacing with external ADATunits plus another24 channels of FW I/O to Apple Logic Audio. The entire systemwas locked together using SMPTE timecode for frame-accurate synchronization.

You are purchasing a fully functional and nearflawless unit; all motorized faders track correctly and calibrate as expected. Bothonboard screens are bright and fully operational, and all switches, encoders,and controls function properly. A video is included showing the consolepowering up and booting into the system. There is a small mar on the right screen, but it does NOT affect unit operation. Fewcosmetic scratches on the top but not terribly notciable and does NOT affect unit operation.

The unit is running the finalofficial Mackie dXb operating system version 1.2.10, dXb Firmware Drivers of1.0.0.1 and includes several installed DAW plug-ins. We will provide a USB ThumbDrive which contains copies of the software and all dXb-200 PDF Manuals. Abrand-new spare power supply is included. The console does not require it, butthe studio kept a backup on hand as insurance against downtime. In addition,the buyer will have access to our recovery service in the unlikely event thesystem ever needs restoration** (see warranty information below).

The system supports extensiveMIDI integration and was used with two M-Audio 4×4 MIDI interfaces tosynchronize external keyboards, effects units, DAW tracks, MMC, and MTC. An OMS8×8 SMPTE timecode setup provided full studio-wide synchronization.

Unlike many units currently onthe market, this dXb200 is fully functional, requires no repairs,and has been recently serviced and tested. It is ready to be plugged in and putback into use for any Professional or Home Recording Studio environment or evenRehearsal Studio Space that needs session recording and Audio distribution.

This console originated fromCaveman Studios in the Northeast, which closed several years ago. The ownerretained the unit and kept it operational privately, he is now retired so theunit is now for sale.

Mackie’s dXb-200 (Digital X Bus) isa true matrix console and can be configured in numerous ways. With multipledigital I/O cards installed, routing possibilities are extensive. The examplesbelow represent only a few potential configurations to illustrate itsflexibility.

The console will be shipped in its original factory box. ~ measurementsare (46”x36.5”x11.5”) and weights ~70 lbs.

As a simple modern setup example,a Mac can be connected directly to the console’s FireWire ports (using AppleThunderbolt/USB-C to FireWire adapters), providing up to 24 tracks ofconsole-controlled audio I/O. This integrates well with Apple Logic Pro andother compatible DAW software.
