Listed and pictured here is a very limited edition version of the first issue of the amazing MEGADETH: CRYPTIC WRITINGS comic book event/saga. It’s the leather-bound version (how many people do THAT in comics?) and it is signed! This saga was a four-part mini-series that was published by CHAOS! Comics in 1997. The release of the comic was expertly timed to coincide with the Megadeth album release of the same name.

Leather Premium Edition. Limited to 9,999 copies. All stories based on the songs and lyrics of Dave Mustaine. "Skull Beneath the Skin" written by Brian Pulido and illustrated by Justiniano. "Rattlehead" written by Mike Flippin and drawn by Robert E. Brown. "Looking Down the Cross" written by Roy Young, penciled by David Brewer, and inked by Livesay.
The leather premium edition was already rare! But the comic is also hand-signed by Dave Mustaine himself (Megadet, Metallica, MD45)! The signing was done as a promotion for CHAOS! Comics, and therefore includes an actual official COA (certificate of authenticity - see the second picture).
The comic is in NM+ condition or so. Along with the COA, there is a seal/sticker that has never been removed! So the comic is in NEW and unread condition! The comic will additionally be bagged and boarded for extra protection. It will be insured and delivery will require a signature. As ONE note - the sealed, never opened protective bag is OLD! Like 29 years old, so there is som wrinkling on the bag itself. This has nothing to do with the quality of the comic itself (as most cmic book collectors know).
