Beautiful signed Lotton Studios art glass pumpkin paperweight dated 2002.
This petite hand-blown pumpkin measures approximately 2 1/2 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches in diameter and features a gorgeous peachy-orange/golden coloration with a striking iridescent finish. Depending on the lighting and viewing angle, the surface displays beautiful purple, lavender, blue and golden highlights. It is finished with a contrasting applied dark green glass stem.
The polished underside is hand engraved with an artist's signature that appears to begin "Sam Mc..." along with "Lotton Studios" and the date 2002. I have not been able to positively identify the individual studio artist, so I have included detailed photographs of the signature for the buyer's own review.
Lotton Studios is highly regarded for its American studio art glass and distinctive hand-blown designs. This small pumpkin is a wonderful example with especially attractive iridescent coloration.
