Wonderful early vintage edition of James Hilton\'s classic novel Lost Horizon, the famous story that introduced readers to the mysterious Himalayan paradise of Shangri-La.

This copy features striking black-and-white photoplay endpapers depicting scenes from the film adaptation of Lost Horizon, making it an especially interesting period edition.
The tan cloth hardcover features a blue mountain illustration on the front board, with the title, author and Grosset & Dunlap printed in blue on the spine.
The book remains solid and attractive overall. The binding is intact and solid, pages are secure, and the interior text pages are generally very clean and well preserved with expected age toning.
The illustrated endpapers have small areas of paper loss and wear near portions of the edges and inner gutter, along with some visible adhesive/glue.
At another interior page opening, a strip of binding adhesive/glue is visible along the inner gutter, as photographed. The pages remain firmly attached and there are no loose or detached pages.
The exterior page edges show noticeable age-related discoloration, fading and mottled surface wear, including areas where the darker edge coloring has worn away.
The tan cloth exterior shows age-related rubbing, discoloration and light wear around the edges, corners and spine ends.
