London Illustrated News 1852 July-December Half Year Bound Weekly Newspapers For Sale

This is a bound half year of weekly newspapers. The pagination lists588 pages. It has many beautiful full and double page illustrations, along with interesting articles, including the Wellington Supplements, the Funeral March Sheet Music. There is a beautiful double-page illustration of the Royal Children. The pages are gigantic, measuring approximately 11x15.75 inches (28x40cm). Has coverage of the UK, America and all over the world. The illustrations are suitable for framing.

CONDITION: The book appears to be complete. The covers are rubbed on the edges and the corners have old vintage tape on the corners. The back cover is detached. Half the backstrap is missing. THe binding is shaken but holding. The index is present. There are tears on pages 75 and 173.Page 121 is loose. There are occasional fox marks, smudges or small margin tears from long-ago page turning. Some of the pages have the sought-after red ONE PENNY TAX stamp in the margin of some of the pages.
