* Original Lionel 3520 box included
* Gray die-cast chassis with orange generator and rotating searchlight assembly
* Searchlight bulb is present
* Searchlight housing lifts off as shown in photos
* Untested — operating function has not been verified
* Car is dusty/dirty from long-term storage; no attempt has been made to clean it
* Shows age-related wear, paint loss, oxidation, scuffs and general storage wear
* Searchlight/base assembly appears intact; please review close-up photos for condition
* Original box has significant age/storage wear
* Box has substantial flap loss; one end retains the outer numbered/description flap and one inner flap
* Remaining end flap is marked $7.75
* Box sides still display well considering age

This is an original vintage Lionel No. 3520 Operating Searchlight Car from the postwar era. Lionel introduced the 3520 as an operating car with a rotating searchlight mechanism. The gray die-cast depressed-center frame is marked “3520 Lionel Lines 3520” and carries the orange generator assembly and gray searchlight.
The car has been stored for many years and remains dusty. I have intentionally made no attempt to clean or restore it. I have not tested the electrical operation, so it is being sold as untested.
The original Lionel No. 3520 box is included. The box is quite worn at the ends with missing flaps and age deterioration, but the sides and graphics remain present and the original numbered “No. 3520 Operating Searchlight Car” end label survives.
