Considering they are all about 100 years old, they look pretty good. The dark maroon leatherette with the book information on the spine printed in gold looks like they spent most of their life time sitting on the shelf. All are a little frayed at the top and have some shelf rub. Volume 1 was beginning to separate at the back cover and someone added black electrical tape (very suitable) to keep it together.
This is the complete set of 8 and a remarkable way to see the details of electricity in its early years. They also would look pretty good on the shelf while not taking up much space since each book is only 8 inches by 5 inches and less than an inch in thickness.
