Lewis Carroll’s two Alice classics in the distinctive 2001 Bloomsbury USA hardcover editions illustrated throughout by Mervyn Peake, celebrated author and artist of the Gormenghast trilogy.
Includes Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, with an introduction by Will Self, and Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, with an introduction by Zadie Smith. Peake’s imaginative pen-and-ink illustrations were originally created in the 1940s and were restored for these Bloomsbury editions.

Condition: Both hardcovers are solid and present well with their original dust jackets and ribbon markers. Jackets show light edge and corner wear with small nicks/creases. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has a handwritten personal gift inscription dated March 19, 2019 on the front endpaper. Interior pages and illustrations otherwise appear clean and well preserved.
